THE LABYRINTH

At the heart of the labyrinth
I would like to nestle under the paint flakes
Under the dust

If walls had ears
If walls had eyes

At the heart of the labyrinth
I would watch
Each one of you
I would learn your stories
I would know your secrets - I would keep them safe
I would make them
My own

It wouldn't be a lie
As, in my heart, I would give you all the credit
I would finish your sentences
I would continue the movement of your hand
I would be
An extension of your body

You would be my best friend
And you wouldn't
Even
Know it

Come in!
Come in, Visitor!
Give me some of your time

Let me suck it in
Let me move inside it

Give me your stories
Give me your lives
Let me wear them
Like fancy dresses
Let me sneak
Under the paint flakes
Let me slide
Under your skin

And when all of you would finally be gone
I would remain here
In the silence
At the heart of the labyrinth

Rich
With your thousand lives
And free
From the burden of having my own.

Come in!
